Hello everyone

I am super busy today.  Last day of month end for us and I have to have everything in by the end of the day.  No overtime either.  Which is ok with me.  I have plans today after work with friends.

I do use salon quality hair products.  The steps I take to make sure my hair stays healthy in spite of the what I do to it (flat iron, hair dryer, hair color).  I have been told it's not healthy and dries out your hair to wa**** every day.  I no longer do that.  I take a shower every day...but I put my hair up and only wa**** every other day.  I use high quality hair products on my hair.  I use a heat protectant on my hair before I use the hair dryer and flat iron.  Once a week I do a moisturizing mask.  And it is working my hair was breaking off so badly it looked like I cut it and I didn't.  It is starting to grow again.  My problem is I have such fine hair and it is so sensitive.

I did an October fest earlier in the month...it was fun.

Well I better get back to work.  See you al later.

I told the Wizard of Work where to go last night at 10:30 and put in an absence request via email. AAAWWWW, nice not to have the stress of being at work but I have a lot to do here at home.

Good Morning,

Counting today, we roll back the clocks the evening of the 10th day. I don't know about all of you, but even though it will get darker earlier, it will be lighter when we get up. I really like that.

We have a busy weekend coming up. Just errands today, an Octoberfest to attend tomorrow night, and a 90th birthday to attend on Sunday.

What are you doing this weekend?

It was nice to hear from Jason yesterday.

My hair has always been super dry. I started using Redkin products and that helps.

Have a great day,

Huggers,

Lisa

Crystal, maybe there is another hair product that is designed not to dry out the hair. It is worth asking about. I guess that I never noticed or did not have the issue when I would color my hair. I have very, very dry hair. I stopped with any color at home or the salon. I got tired of the process and cost at the salon in addition to the shampoo/conditioner you need for a chemically treated hair.

Hello everyone

I went and got my hair done last night.  It turned out nice.  I changed it.  It's always a gamble.  I went darker with lighter blondish red highlights.  Every time I lighten my hair it just dries out. It's too bad I think I look better with lighter hair but hair is healthier with darker hair.

Today I have some errands to run after work.  Because tomorrow I have dinner and a ghost walk with friends after work.  So my Friday errands are going to be done today.

Well I better get going.  See you all later

I almost had a rude awakening this morning. I was too close to the edge of the bed and almost fell out! How's that for a wake up call? Did not need my alarm this morning. I was already awake but our bed is another 6" off the floor than normal for extra storage. That would have been a long way down.

Cruise is booked. Just need to get the agent our deposit by Monday. 4 extra days in Seattle on the front end and then 14 days at sea and back to Seattle to home. Three of the ports are the same as this past cruise but we had wanted to go back to them to explore.

Not much after work today other than to come home and scrub up a bike we are donating to our Care Center at Willow. We filled the tires a few days ago and now it just needs the dust and cobwebs cleaned off before pick-up on Sunday.

What is happening in your corner of IL today?
